jobs based off social media

Essay 3: Thinking About How We Experience (Jobs on social media) write about the negatives and positives based off jobs with social media. The Mission: for essay 3, we will be starting with the 2 most recent readings, and all of the questions we created during class from those readings. The idea is to create some main question about how we experience something, and of course to respond to your question throughout the essay. So you are making a claim in the essay, which you would need to support and illustrate, but not an extreme yes or no type of claim. We have already began coming up with and talking about sample questions during class discussion of The Loss of the Creature and we will continue doing this next class while discussing 13 Ways of Seeing Nature in L.A. This is not a formal research paper, so sources will be limited, and the main idea will be to try and work through some claim you make in response to your main question. You will be required to cite 1 of the 2 class readings mentioned above in this assignment sheet. These authors will be useful in helping us to pose our questions or to expand our thoughts. You will be required to include moments of counterargument in your essay. No exact number of moments required, but whatever makes sense as part of a discussion. C/A helps deepen the discussion and helps you to further develop your own claim, because it challenges you to think through what you are saying. Also you will be required to bring in 3 outside primary sources (in addition to the 1 class reading). Just like in essay 2, you may bring in both class readings if you feel it will be a good fit, but not required. You should have a minimum of 4 citations, and a maximum of 8. So you could have 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 citations and still earn full credit for the assignment. Your essay must use proper MLA format for all aspects of paper format and citations, including the required works cited page. Like always, there will be 2 drafts of the essay. This must be 5 full pages. Each student is required to conference with me between drafts. We will sign up for conference times. Due Dates: See the course schedule for draft 1 due date. Draft 2 will be due by the start of our final exam session (see schedule).
